Title: Deadly Games

Author: Lindsay Buroker

Length: 328 pages

Genre: Fantasy//Steampunk

My Rating:5/5 Stars

As with all of Buroker’s books, Deadly Games thrilled, enchanted, and amused. Amaranthe Lokdon is one of the most unique female protagonists I’ve ever come across in literature. Not only is she humorous, intelligent, and hard-working, but she is also a brilliant dynamic strategist–able to think of solutions to countless problems instantly on her feet.

In this, the third installment in the Emperor’s Edge series, Amaranthe and her team uncover a plot to create genetically superior children by kidnapping talented and extraordinary athletes. When two of her team members are kidnapped themselves, Amaranthe and the remaining crew members stop at nothing to retrieve them and the rest of the captives.

I sat on the edge of my seat for most of this novel and I inhaled it within two days. After finishing it, I immediately downloaded the next one and continued the story! Buroker’s series has stolen my little book-loving heart and I wholeheartedly recommend the Emperor’s Edge series to anyone who loves fantasy, steampunk, magic, and science-fiction stories. They are WELL worth your precious time.

Here are my other Emperor’s Edge reviews:

>> The Emperor’s Edge (Book One)

>> Ice Cracker II (Book 1.5)

>> Dark Currents (Book 2)
