Those were the items on my entertainment menu from last weekend. This weekend? well, Friday night, I spent training at my martial arts studio. I’m currently training for my black belt in the Korean martial art, Hapkido. Intense stuff. I love it, though. When I got home last night, I snuggled under comfy covers and read more of Lindsay Buroker’s Emperor’s Edge. SUCH a fabulous book. I am immensely enjoying it. This morning, I woke up and read more. I think I’m about 40% of the way through.
My husband is currently at an all-boy birthday party for my friend Savannah’s husband. I love how we are all still 8-years old at heart. I hear there may be video game land parties involved. LOVE it. Since I’ve the house to myself today, I have big plans to…do dishes, fold laundry, run errands, and maybe get some work done. Glamorous, I know. There may be a movie involved this afternoon, or more reading. Lately, The Lord of the Rings movies have been calling to me. I have plants tonight, so I can’t have an all-out marathon, but maybe I could make it through Fellowship? Tonight, I’ve got dinner plans with the lovely Kate of Revelrey! We’re gonna get our Japanese cuisine on and maybe some fun shenanigans afterwards. Yay girls’ night!
In other words? I’m NOT going to work the entire day. The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of activity, late hours, and excitement. I need a normal day. My brain was close to turning to mush the last three days, so I feel the call of normalcy in the wind….
Thank you to EVERYONE who has bought, read, reviewed, or provided me with feedback on my book. I sincerely appreciate every single one of you and it makes my little author’s heart go pitter patter when you tell me you enjoyed it! That’s exactly what I want. I want my readers to be thrilled by the book. I know that not everyone will, but that’s alright, too. Constructive criticism is also appreciated.
Happy Saturday! Go and relax!
