Since February is the month of love, I thought it would be neat to ask my sponsors about books that helped to form their understanding of love in their lives. Check out their thoughtful responses!

One of my favorite childhood book series was Berenstain Bears! I loved how they focused on family values, loving your siblings, and working together. It taught me a lot about how to interact with my family and what it means to love – and I loved all the great illustrations and funny stories!

When I was about 9 or 10 I read Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and naturally I loved it.  Looking back, I think that book was the first to introduce me to the idea that love is complicated.  It can be unrequited, confusing, and turn up when you’re least expecting it.

I read Beauty by Robin Mckinley while I was in 6th grade & it quickly became one of my favorite books. This story helped me to realize, even more so, that love should not stem from what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside of a person. I loved this story so much that I chose Beauty & the Beast to be the theme for my own wedding.
