Music is a majorly important component of my workday. Depending on the music I choose to listen to, my mood and efficiency levels fluctuate. Every year for Christmas I ask for Pandora One because I can listen to it 6+ hours EVERY WORKDAY. Currently, my favorite Pandora One stations for working are:

Carolan’s Dream Radio — This is a Celtic Harp radio that I listen to while working on normal drafting-related endeavors.

Enya Radio — Enya is one of my all-time favorite artists and she is another go-to work radio favorite; also typically used while working on drafting.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo Radio — I usually listen to this a capella station while blogging or working on projects that don’t require such intense focus as writing.

When I’m not listening to Pandora One, I usually listen to my iTunes library. I especially love orchestral soundtracks like the following:

//1// Gladiator OST //2// Skyrim OST //3// Princess Mononoke OST //4// Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy

Sometimes, I’ll throw in some Braveheart OST or another random soundtrack, but lately I’ve been favoring the four soundtracks above. I find I’m most productive when I’m listening to epic soundtracks. They seem to inspire my mind to dive in and get good work done.

What about you? Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what are your favorite radio stations, soundtracks, playlists, etc? I’d love to hear!

I hope you all have a terrific Monday!
