I’m officially tagging all of you readers in this post! Even if you’re not a writer, you could use this fun meme with the current book you’re reading! If you comment with your answers, be sure to tell us which book you’re using and who the author is so that they get their due credit. 🙂 If it’s your own work in progress, thanks so much for sharing!
Here are the Rules:
1. Go to the 77th page of your work-in-progress or latest book.
2. Count down 7 lines.
3. Copy the 7 sentences that follow, and post them.
4. Tag 7 other writers (I’m just tagging all the visitors to the blog!)
Here are my seven lines, taken from my latest book Night Bells. In this scene, the main character, Soryn, is listening to his friend Arna tell about her daily activities as a servant in his castle.
“I take any vegetables he gives me to Inga for the evening’s supper. By then, it’s time for lunch and I eat again in my quarters. If I have time, I read from one of the books in the library–Steward Asmund lets the servants borrow one at a time. During the evening, I polish the silverware in the dining cabinets, wash the kitchen floors, help Inga clean, and give Salme a hand with folding. After evening prayers, I’ll read some more. Then…I go to sleep.” Her life sounded extremely productive.
Remember, you’ve all been tagged! Grab a book you’re reading or a current writing project and share your seven sentences with us!
