So ready for THIS. The weather has been rainy, but the temperature has been PHENOMENAL the last two days. In the South, we’re lucky to have 70-80 degree weather in MAY let alone August. The last two days, the temps have been hanging out in the 70s. WOW. If you’re in the deep South, like me, you have been appreciating the break from 95-100 degree monstrosities.
The cooler weather has been making my dreams of fall almost unbearable. I found myself researching fall recipes and purchasing fall candles the other day. By fall candles, I mean the cinnamon, apple spice varieties. 🙂 I LOVE fall. Autumn is such a glorious season. I adore the changing leaves and the crisp, scented air! I love Halloween and the preparations for Thanksgiving and Advent and Christmas…I can’t wait!
However, I’m not one who doesn’t appreciate the summer. I’m a summer baby, so my birthday is only a few days after the solstice each year. I think the green leaves on the trees and the lush fields are beautiful, too. I’m an all-seasons kind of gal–each one is beautiful, special, and precious in its own time.
For now, though, I’m dreaming of cinnamon scents and pumpkin dishes…long walks under fiery red leaves, and shorter days…
Thanks for stopping by!
