Now, in case you guys haven’t picked up on this…I’m a MAJOR nerd. Yep. I love fantasy and sci-fi novels, movies, TV shows, comics, etc. I love anime. I love manga. I love video games. I love learning (in a big way). I love coming up with my own languages. I love dressing up to go see movies at the theatre. I love it ALL. So, that being said, I thought it would be fun to showcase the nerdiest stuff I own–complete with honorable mentions for that stuff that might not be *quite* nerdy enough for some, but just nerdy enough for others.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
Case #1: I’ve got a wicked Sailor Moon obsession…

Key chains with the five main sailor senshi. I’m still collecting and am trying to find Chibi-Moon and the outer senshi. ![]()

That’s the Sailor Moon RPG game guide, a character diary (sort of thing…), and a Sailor Moon info book.

That’s a Sailor Moon cell print of one of Usagi’s dreams and an Inuyasha pillow…because I’m also obsessed with Inuyasha…
Case #2: I’m a rabid Doctor Who fan…
Case #3: I love acquiring adorable stuffed animals of the nerdy persuasion…
Case #4: My hubby and I still play Pokemon video games and card games…

My husband insists that this isn’t a very nerdy thing, but I think some people would disagree… (My electric/grass deck is the BOMBdiggity, just sayin’)
Case #5: I have a shelf that is THREE layers thick with legit Japanese manga…
Case #6: I’m a PC gamer and also play old console games (think N64, PS2, etc.)…
Honorable Mentions (Not Pictured):
>> The Star Wars Vault – This has so many awesome conceptual images and background information on the Star Wars movies…SO FUN!
>> Giant Star Wars Poster – Maybe this isn’t super nerdy, but it’s a pretty epic poster…
>> Pikachu Pencil Topper — He sits on top of my computer tower.
>> The hubby and I like to build our own computers. — Because pre-built, store-bought computers just don’t cut it on pricing and performance. Besides, we’ve got to custom build so we can play certain games at max settings!
>> I own almost EVERY single Studio Ghibli film…– Still need to grab a couple of the more obscure ones, but I’m definitely getting there!
>> I have stacks upon stacks of fan art for anime from my middle-school years…
>> I have my own graphic novel I started in middle school…
What are the nerdiest things you own? I’d love to hear about them! Nerds of the world UNITE!

What?! No Stargate SG-1 / Atlantis / Universe? No Naruto? No One Piece?
NO STAR TREK?!!
I’m revoking your “nerd” badge.
What evs, Bill. I’m a MAJOR Star Wars nerd and I love Stargate Universe (What I’ve seen of it).
OMG Sailor Moon and Inuyasha were my favorites!
Aren’t they amazing? I love me some Sailor Moon and Inuyasha. Hard to beat!
I live with a really adorable “architecture” and “Star Wars”-type Nerd with a penchant for Legos. Our most notable acquisitions include 2 lightsabers, a Lego Millenium Falcon, and the Lego Farnsworth House. He’s been eying the Falling Water (F.L. Wright) Lego house for a while now.
In the waaaaay nerdy category, I also have an Oliver Sacks fan-girl shelf. Yes, I have a fan-girl obsession with a professor of neuropsychology. He’s a genius, I can’t help it.
That’s AWESOME, Kelli! I love being a nerd, don’t you? It just gives you this smug sense of pride, doesn’t it?
I really, really, really WANT to see that Star Wars vault of yours!
You must show that in your next post or whenever.
As for me, on my cabinet right now is a an A-team of assorted villains and superheroe statues/bobbleheads that include Gandalf, Batman, Optimus Prime, The Joker, Yoda and Gollum lol
I also had to genuinely used my replica light-up lightsaber during a blackout one time because I didn’t have any candles in the house.
That is the BEST thing ever! Yeah, I totally should have taken a picture of my Star Wars Vault, but I didn’t snap one by the time I was putting the stuff together. I’ll have to do that in another “part II” post!
