Weekend Reading

The Weather Channel claims it will be cloudy and rainy for most of the weekend. That’s my cue to get comfy and snuggle up with a good book. I have major plans for reading this weekend. Aside from my mother’s birthday celebration this evening and church on Sunday, my plans revolve around spending time with the Philosopher and getting lost in the following stories:

>> Dark Currents by Lindsay Buroker (I’m almost done!)

>> The Assassin’s Curse by Lindsay Buroker

If I devour those two, I have some other books I can gobble up.

I love reading so much. It’s been a long time since I was able to just relax, settle into a big chair, and dive into an adventure for hours. I need a weekend like that. It has been a good week, but even at the end of a good work week, it’s nice to sit back, relax, and read.

What are your weekend reading plans?

  1. I have decided it is a Jane Austen sort of weekend here in gloomy Arkansas. I have set a goal of reading 50 classics again over the next two years. Might as well begin it now.

Of course, I could just read some Terry Pratchett to ward of the gloom of the world…

    • I’m always gonna tell you to go for Terry Pratchett, but I love me some Jane Austen, too! Yeah…I’ve already read two books this weekend. I’m probably gonna finish up a third by midnight. :-) I LOVE weekends like this…it’s all dreary outside and just perfect to snuggle up and read!

  2. Les Miserables – unabridged! I am soaking up the historical backstory – really, I am a super nerd!!
