Most of us just drool thinking about it. What does chocolate have to do with writing or indie authorship, you might ask?
Happy thoughts and good feelings, people. One of my favorite ways to reward myself at the end of a long work week is to indulge in a few pieces of my favorite chocolate: Hershey’s Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate with Toffee Almond! They are soooooo good. It’s my absolute favorite type of chocolate. I just came across them this past summer.
Funny story actually. So, my husband and I vacationed with his parents this summer down at a house in Florida. It was a gorgeous setting and my sweet mother-in-love (we don’t have “in-laws” in my family ;-)) packed tons of tasty goodies for us to enjoy while we were there. One night, I developed a bit of a sweets craving and started rooting around in the pantry. What did I find? A whole bag of these tasty looking morsels. I’d never had them, so I though…”Why not give them a shot?” About two days later…I’d downed almost the entire bag. One night, my dear mother-in-love asked from the kitchen, “Who’s been eating my chocolate?”
I felt like Goldilocks after eating the porridge. I admitted that I had been the one scarfing down the little golden treasures, expressing my apologies that I didn’t know they weren’t for everyone…
We laughed so much about that! I felt horrible, but she thought it was funny. Now, whenever I get low, I restock my house candy bowls with the stuff. It is amazing. If you haven’t tried them, you HAVE to.
